David Guetta Brings The Monolith Tour to Santo Domingo

On March 20, 2026, global electronic music icon David Guetta brought his highly anticipated The Monolith Tour to Estadio Quisqueya in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, delivering a massive production that transformed the stadium into a futuristic arena of sound, light, and energy. Organized by PAV Events, the show attracted approximately 14,000–15,000 attendees in a concert-style configuration, marking one of the Dominican Republic’s standout electronic music events of the year.

Towering LED structures, synchronized pyrotechnics, and immersive lighting sequences were all central elements of the show, but one of the most talked-about features of the night was the laser design.

The Team Behind the Lasers: Dog From the Moon LLC

The laser dispaly was designed and supplied by Dog From the Moon LLC, led by laser designer Carlos Porrello, whose previous work can be seen on the Barbarella festival, Shakira tour, and WhoMadeWho show. For this tour, Porrello and his team crafted a laser environment that elevated the visual display of Guetta’s performance and created an immersive audience experience.

Laser Gear Used

A total of 20 lasers were deployed throughout the venue, strategically integrated into the stage architecture and stadium sightlines. The setup included 6x Unity Elite 30 PRO lasers, 4x Unity Elite 60 PRO lasers, and 10x additional 32W laser units.

The combination of high-powered Unity Elite fixtures and supplementary 32W lasers allowed the production team to generate wide sweeping aerial effects that filled the entire stadium environment.

A major advantage for the outdoor production was the use of the Unity Elite series, featuring IP65-rated housings and a more compact form factor. The weather-resistant design provided added reliability for the Caribbean outdoor environment, protecting the systems from humidity, dust, and changing weather conditions while reducing the need for additional protective rain covers. The smaller and lighter chassis also streamlined rigging and deployment throughout Estadio Quisqueya, allowing the production team to position fixtures quickly and efficiently across the stage while reducing setup time and simplifying load-in.

The laser design was synchronized seamlessly with the show’s lighting and video content through a Beyond Advanced Media Server paired with a GrandMA3 Light console. This integration enabled real-time cueing and perfectly timed visual transitions that matched the intensity and rhythm of Guetta’s performance set.
