The FIFA World Cup Fan Festival brought the excitement of football to life beyond the stadium, giving fans in Mexico City and Monterrey places to gather, celebrate and experience the tournament together.
Laser technology played an important role in creating the atmosphere at both locations. Powerful beams, vivid colors and precisely programmed effects transformed the festival spaces into immersive entertainment environments worthy of one of the world’s biggest sporting events.
Laser Technology Used
InterlaserMX provided the professional laser equipment used for the events in Mexico City and Monterrey.
Unity Elite PRO FB4 laser projectors formed the foundation of the laser production at the FIFA World Cup Fan Festival in Mexico City.
Designed for outdoor and festival applications, the Elite systems delivered bright, full-color effects that remained visually prominent within the large open-air festival environment. Their beams introduced color, movement and depth to the production, complementing the music, lighting and excitement surrounding the tournament. Bold beam effects heightened the energy of major moments, while layered patterns and coordinated movements helped build atmosphere throughout the wider celebration.
Using multiple Elite projectors also enabled the production team to create a more expansive visual experience. Instead of presenting laser effects from a single position, the projectors could work together to produce balanced looks across the festival space. This gave the show a greater sense of scale and helped visually connect the audience with the action taking place around them.
While the Elite systems created dynamic effects within the festival environment, an Architect sky beacon laser projected a concentrated beam into the night sky. This produced a striking vertical landmark above the venue and extended the visual identity of the event beyond the immediate festival space.
The Monterrey Fan Festival used Kvant Atom laser projectors. The Atom systems supplied powerful, full-color output for the Monterrey celebration.

Driving the entire system was BEYOND laser control software, which provided the programming flexibility and synchronization capabilities needed for productions of this scale. Through advanced cueing and control, the software enabled the laser effects to interact seamlessly with music, lighting, video, and stage action.
